A musical genius, anticonformist – rock and roll in the end – enfant terrible and gifted on the pipes. Gordon broke all the taboos around his instrument. He profoundly changed its repertoire and the definition of what was possible for the instrument to do.

Carlos Núñez is regarded the world over as an extraordinary musician, one of the most serious and brilliant of his generation, and a true ambassador for Galicia and Intercelticism throughout the world.

Of the 8 statues to be created, the aim is to have 2 or even 3 completed by 2025. Discussions and agreements are underway with Carlos Nuñez, Paddy Moloney’s family and Gordon Duncan’s family.
2 sculptors have been commissioned to create the statues : Annick Leroy and Anne Smith. For the fresco, the Lorient-based artist-engraver has been approached.
